Sure Shot!

As a professional photographer I shoot multiple images of the same thing. There is nothing worse then thinking you’ve captured a magic moment in one frame, only to see that the bride or groom is making a weird smile. Had you clicked one frame you would have nailed the shot. Generally at a typical wedding I shoot about 3,000 images. Then in post I edit the images down to somewhere around 1,000 images. Due to the fast pace of a wedding there simply is no time to zoom in on each frame to make sure people have their eyes open, so I over shoot to guarantee I get the shot. I over shoot both formals and candids. Believe it or not candids aren’t often captured in one frame, even though they appear to be.

Most photographers don't over shoot because they're either don't want to spend the time editing or they feel that with their skills they don't need to over shoot. I feel like its a big mistake not to over shoot you cannot control people.
